Importance of Introduction of Traffic Sense In
Primary Schools /Children
Introducing traffic sense to children is crucial for their safety and the well-being of others.
Practices could start with understanding of the
colours of traffic light , amber green and red.
Fun based activities like colouring scenes of
traffic movement on different lights , saying poems and finally having a day/two
day long workshop to practically demonstrate the traffic light could be a great
way to teach young children,
older children could be made to ride battery toy cars on track made with
Zebra crossing and signals to understand the concept while the younger could be
taught to cross the road via zebra crossing in the same workshop.
Some appreciation like traffic rules champions
,road safety award,stars tattoo on their hands etc, could be given to children.
They may also be shown traffic videos
Finally the kids may be motivated to give their
parents a badge to keep in car.

parents . Even though kids don't drive they will motivate the parents to obey rules , an example of it

Kids themselves have restrained from celebrating
diwali from crackers as they learnt from school like a Kid stops
the parent from littering on the
road the will motivate them to follow traffic rules. Introducing
traffic sense to children can be done through age-appropriate activities and
discussions. Use simple language, teach them basic road rules, and lead by
example when crossing streets. Repeated reinforcement and
practicing safe habits during walks or play can
help instill good traffic sense.
